MGBSFL DIVISION TWO
FC TEAM 7 CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI 0
New boy Sanford, formerly of North London Raiders, enjoyed a dream debut - with three clinical finishes - and there were also goals from Richard Salmon, Marc Hecht, Adam Rones and leading marksman Young.
Delighted player-manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "Firstly, thank you to Jeff Gotch and the Catford lads for helping get the game on and to the referee for allowing it to go ahead in difficult conditions.
"I am delighted with the performance considering the conditions some of the attacking football was very nice and to score seven goals was very pleasing."
Commenting on match-winning centre-half Sanford, Young added: "Congratulations to Rob on his first game of the season, scoring a hat-trick is very nice for him and to have his experience at the back and obvious goal threat from set-pieces we be very welcome coming into the final few games of the season.
"This was a great warm up match for our big cup quarter-final next week and we are looking forward to putting our wits against the favourites for the competition."
