Redbridge B have over-achieved, says Jacobs

articlemain

Jon Jacobs believes Redbridge Jewish Care B have over-achieved after they were confirmed MGBSFL Division One champions.

Blizzard Storm's 3-2 victory over Norstar London Raiders B ensured RJC won the title with two games to spare. They did not play on Matchday 25 of the seasonbut have already claimed 10 victories from 14 matches.

Jacobs told JC Sport: "I thought that this season would be about consolidation, but the boys achievements have surpassed themselves.

"The boys fully deserve the title success and we aim to finish the season in style."

RJC took four points off NLR this season, but Jacobs had nothing but praise for L'Orange, who pipped his team to the Division Two title last season.

He said: "My congratulations go to Raiders too who have been our consistent rivals for two seasons now.

"We look forward to locking horns with them for a third season.

RJC are now looking forward to life in the Premier Division, and Jacobs added: "Led brilliantly by Darren Brown, the team are champions and I couldn’t be prouder."
