Shahar Peer has reached round two of the Dubai Open after beating Belgian rival, Yanina Wickmayer.
Competing in the competition for the first time, Peer won 3-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Peer, seeeded 22, will meet the winner of the match up between France's Virginie Razzano and Tunisia's Salima Sfar.
