MACCABI MANCHESTER YELLOW stunned Haroldeans in the standout result of the opening weekend in the MJSL.

Anton Radiven’s newly assembled side sealed a 3-2 win in Liverpool.

Maccabi Manchester Yellow struggled throughout last season and were forced to wait until they finally broke their duck.
But they are off to a flyer this time around. The Merseysiders – the perennial title challengers - were cruising midway through the second-half after goals from Joran Brooks and Adam Cross.

Radiven’s men then launched their comeback as Jason Deach’s double and Henry Levy saw the visitors home at Childwall.

Radiven said: "I expected it would take some time to find our feet. So to get off the mark is a real bonus.

"We will fight in every game this season- whatever the score is. I will instill a never-say-die attitude in my players."
