MGBSFL DIVISION TWO
STRAW HAT PIRATES 3 MILL HILL DONS 4
A ding-dong game saw the Pirates forge ahead via Ethan Mooney's free-kick which went through the wall and left goalkeeper Richard Reback stranded.
The Dons drew level before half-time after a goal-mouth scramble saw the ball come out to Nagioff who scooped it into the top left corner of the net from 14 yards.
The visitors came out the blocks quickly in the second half and scored again four minutes after the restart. A scramble in the box was latched onto by Cohen who made no mistake from close range.
The Pirates drew level when Aron Gale poked the ball home before the Dons restored their advantage via an own goal from a corner.
It was back to level terms shortly after as a blocked shot from Straw Hat found its way to the feet of one of their players in the box.
The match ebbed and flowed and the Dons went ahead again shortly after as a Nagioff corner found the head of a Pirates defender. They opened up a 4-2 lead with just minutes to go as Cohen hit Straw Hat on the counter, crossing it across goal to Isaacs who finished beautifully to put the result beyond doubt.
Straw Hat scored a third with a superb finish into the top corner from Jono Nesbitt but it was the Dons who finished with maximum points.
Delighted Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "I'm absolutely delighted with the result today - it was a very hard fought game and well deserved victory for the boys.
"We have now moved up to second, one point behind Bayern Mincha with a game in hand.
"Things are looking really promising and if we keep on picking up results, the sky is the limit for this team."
