JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- DANNY SHERMAN (Scrabble FC) - created his goal-scoring chance by dummying the goalkeeper before firing home a low shot

- JAMIE CRAWFORD (Real Sosobad) - scored one of the goals of season with a clever and intricate lob from inside the area

- DAN 'FLASH' GORDON (Faithfold Masters) - sublime piece of skill on edge of Waldaf Town box saw him turn his marker inside out before curling a Dalglish-esque into the top corner

- ADAM LENZ (Temple Fortune) - GOAL 1 - edge of the area, left of the goal, left foot laces strike into the fair corner side netting. The keeper didn’t even move

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- JONATHAN COHEN (Temple Fortune) - "We were superb for over an hour of that game and honestly I think Adam Glekin and his team were surprised by our performance. "They dominated us a few months ago but this was anything but one-way traffic"

- ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon Utd B) - “It’s fair to say that despite it being Valentine’s Day, I didn’t show much love towards my team at half-time"

- RIC BLANK (Oakwood A) - "Our philosophy is that we want to play games every Sunday on good pitches against good sides. If we get beat then so be it, maybe we’ll learn something. Years ago we learnt a lot from taking a beating from Winston’s Lions side and from Jamie Cole’s Neasden team. It made us stronger I’m certain of it"

- RAY ABRAHAMS (Scrabble FC) - "What a fantastic game of football between two fantastic sides who gave everything in a hard-fought battle yet ended the game embracing each other in admiration of each other's determination to win the game"

- DAN SHAFRON (Real Sosobad) - "I must say it felt like we turned a corner today, the boys showed a lot of camaraderie and positivity on and off the pitch. If we keep this up, we will enjoy our final few games of the season"

- RIC BLANK (Oakwood A) - "The Leeds assistant manager said that they won the moral victory yesterday. For that we salute them and wish them all the best in the next round of the Peter Moral Trophy"

- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - "In all seriousness, good luck to my former team in their quest to retain the MJSL and Shonn trophies - a double to follow last year's treble. If they hit the heights of Sunday’s battling performance, I see no reason why they won’t achieve this and I look forward to going back to Leeds and watching them pick up silverware in May"
