JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- BEN BERRICK (Jewdinese) - Barney Rhodes swung a delightful ball over to Zack Collins who took on his full-back, cut inside and laid it on a plate for Berrick. His first-time strike swerved away from the keeper and into the top corner
- JOSH GOLDSTEIN (HMH) - peach of a free-kick against Oakwood
- BEN WINTERS (HMH) - beautiful lob from 25 yards
- GAV LEWIS (Faithfold Doc MM A) - 18-year-old Lewis nicked the ball on the halfway line, ran the entire rest of the field beating another two men in the process and fired crisply into the bottom corner

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- JAKE DOFFMAN (HMH) - stunning first-half save to deny Oakwood with the game goalless
-------------------------------
JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (Faithfold A) - "We had nine men at 12am last night. I must have asked every Jew I ever knew in order to get 11 men out. Finally at 1am I got a confirmation of two players. But as is the way one of my other players pulled out at 8 in the morning. We debated what to do but in the end decided to start the game with 10 men"
- JAKE SANDERS (Redbridge JC A) - "It’s a shame that the title could come down to the fact that Redbridge played Scrabble and we didn't.... still unbeaten and we will do our job and hope for some favours elsewhere"
- SAM MARCHANT (ML Lions) - "Brady are always stern opposition and although they’ve been struggling this season, they always give everything they have, and the first half was extremely even, perhaps with Brady having the batter chances"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:
PETER MORRISON TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL
HAROLDEANS 1 MANCHESTER MACCABI 1st 1 (AET - Haroldeans won 2-1 on penalties)
Haroldeans joined Maccabi London Lions, HMH and Mill Hill Dons in the last four after coming from a goal down to progress against Manchester Maccabi at Childwall.
Maccabi forged ahead on the stroke of half-time but parity was restored when Paul Harris curled a stunning free-kick into the top corner from 20 yards.
Jared Clein was the hero in the penalty shoot-out, saving two Maccabi efforts, while Eden Harris and Maxim Green held their nerve to send the Liverpudlians through.

BRADY MACCABI 0 MACCABI LONDON LIONS 3
Goals from Daniel Green, Reiss Mogilner and Will Beresford ensured Lions claimed Rowley Lane bragging rights again as Brady moved another step closer to the relegation trapdoor.
MLL's Sam Marchant told JC Sport: "It was a good performance in the second half and hopefully we can take that into next week's big game against HMH.“
Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "The same story...we had a great first half, but unless we put away the chances we create, especially the one-on-ones, we get punished, which is exactly what happened. There's no way Lions were they three goals better than us, and that was with us fielding three Masters' players and three under 18’s. We roll on to next week against Los Camden."
DC Prediction: Brady 1 Lions 2

HMH 2 OAKWOOD A 0
HMH moved into second place on goal difference as just like Barca, they saw off their closest rivals for the second time in a week, thanks to goal of the week contenders from Josh Goldstein and Ben Winters.
Goldstein opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick before Winters sealed the points with an exquisite lob from 25 yards.
Jubilant HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "The whole team were superb today, showing great intensity from start to finish. The goals and the win were well deserved and just reward for this. On to another big game next week against Lions and then to watch one of our own Leo Ackerman captain Oxford University in the varsity match at The Hive."
Oakwood joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "I probably sound like a broken record but this game was petering out to a draw or a one goal game when following the best tackle in the entire game and to our dismay, a free-kick was given to HMH on the edge of our box. As well as it was struck, it should never have been awarded and it completely cost us the game."
DC Prediction: HMH 1 Oakwood 2

LOS CAMDEN A 2 FAITHFOLD DOC MM A 2
A late header from Avi Markiewicz saw Los Camden suffered a cup hangover as they were forced to settle for a point against a Faithfold team scrapping for survival.
Faithfold overcame major availability problems to play the game - with only 10 players on show for the first 70 minutes - in a game in which they went ahead via a wonder goal from Gav Lewis. Los Camden turned the game on its head with two goals, via top-scorer Oli Sade and David Kanzen, before Markiewicz popped up with a rare headed goal.
Proud Faithfold player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "I can’t stress enough how proud I am of all those who played today. The effort they all put in was out of this world and they really deserved this draw."
DC Prediction: Camden 3 Faithfold 1

JEWDINESE 1 FAIRLOP FC 1
Promotion rivals Jewdinese and Fairlop FC finished all square in Bushey as the east Londoners joined leaders Redbridge JC A on 34 points.
Ben Berrick gave the Zebras a first-half lead but they were pegged back by Fairlop in the second half from the penalty spot from James Jaconelli.
'Nese boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: “Today was definitely two points dropped rather than a point gained. We were the better team from the first minute. It was a very tough one to take today, the boys were absolutely superb. We battled for 90 minutes, were first to everything and were so unlucky to not get all three points. However, if we are able to produce that performance for the remainder of the season, I’m sure we will be pushing for promotion, as well as going all the way in the Barry Goldstein.”
Fairlop's Jake Sanders told JC Sport: "The league is now out of our hands, but I asked the boys to leave everything out there and that did exactly that. It’s a shame that the title could come down to the fact that Redbridge played Scrabble and we didn't.... still unbeaten and we will do our job and hope for some favours elsewhere."
DC Prediction: ‘Nese 1 Fairlop 1

Adam Virchis, Adam Isaacs, Zach Cohen and Richard Reback eased the Dons to the predicted 4-0 win at home to rock bottom Faithfold C.
Delighted Dons' boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "Another very solid performance from the boys, lots of positives to take forward. A third clean sheet in four games is an extremely impressive feat and is a real testament to how well we have been defensively since the turn of the year."
DC Prediction: Dons 4 Faithfold 0

BARRY GOLDSTEIN TROPHY ROUND ONE
FC TEAM 3 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS 5
Josh Bloom (2), Matt Warner, Aron Gale and scored Scott Waissel were the scorers as Raiders came through what joint-manager Gideon Gale described as "a topsy-turvy" game in a 5-3 win over lower league FC Team.
Raiders stormed into a 2-0 lead before FC Team rallied superbly to lead 3-2 with strikes from top-scorer Richard Salmon (2) and Connor Perl. But NLR's first division class told as they scored three more times.
A relieved Gale told JC Sport: "We dominated the ball but made sloppy errors, which need to be cut out if we plan on winning this tournament. Credit to FC team who made it difficult for us."
FC Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "It was a good cup tie; we did extremely well to come back from 0-2 down to lead 3-2 and at 3-3 with four minutes to go it could have gone either way. We missed a hatful of chances to kill the game at 3-3 but we failed to convert, with a mixture of good keeping and bad finishing. Overall I am proud of the team who fought hard and when we were in possession we were useful with the ball. We are looking forward to the last two league games. Raiders have obvious quality, particularly in midfield areas, and good luck to them for the remainder of the competition.”
DC Prediction: Team 4 NLR 3
