Meet the teams: Redbridge Jewish Care A

articlemain

After a boardroom reshuffle over the summer, Jon Jacobs will lead Redbridge Jewish Care A in season 2015/16.

HOPES FOR SEASON: Combining the B’s of last season with the experience of some of the A-team squad of last season will add pace and some young legs . I think this season is all about consolidation but I will assess after the first month of fixtures. I would love a cup run.

SQUAD ADDITIONS: With the exception of Jason Goldstein, the squad is utilising its togetherness of playing together for many years though the first month will be about merging the two squads together and getting them to play as one team

WHICH ONE EXCITES YOU MOST? Jason Goldstein hasn’t played Jewish football for a good few years so it will be interesting to see how he performs

PLAYERS OUT: Dan Lassman has joined Real Sosobad, Amir Nathan has joined Woodford Wanderers, Matt Niman is off to University

ONES TO WATCH: It will be amazing to have all three Sollosi brothers playing together, the pace and goals of Dan Garfinkle but the two players I am most interested in is the consistent and growing excellence in midfield of James Berkley and then how many goals Steve Summers has got in him with the younger boys able to feed him opportunities

MAIN CHALLENGERS: All of them - we will be competing against them as new teams to us for the majority of the boys so they will be a surprise to us and conversely, we will be a surprise to them

WHAT WILL YOUR TEAM BRING TO THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON? A nice blend of youth and experience who will really play for each other, give it a good go and see where it takes them.
