Maccabi Tel Aviv remain on course for the Champions League group stages following a narrow victory in their opening match of the competition.
A 64-minute diving header from Rade Prica earned Maccabi victory against Andorran champions Santa Coloma in the second qualifying round first leg which was switched from Tel Aviv due to the hostilities in the region.
Maccabi dominated the contest, but lacked penetration up front in Garcia’s first competitive game in charge since returning from Brighton.
Garcia said: "We looked fit despite a difficult week with the security situation. The surface was not ideal and they played very defensively but we created chances and defended well.
"The only memorable thing about the game was the goal and we’ll need to improve."
