Slavisa Jokanovic insists Maccabi Tel Aviv will not under-estimate Hibernians following the draw for the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
Jokanovic, who will be officially introduced to Maccabi fans this week, described the Maltese minnows as potentially “tricky” opponents.
"We will only know whether it is a good draw or a tough draw against the two matches are played,” said Jokanovic.
"We will study Hibernians closely to ensure we are prepared to the best of our ability for the first leg.
Maccabi will travel to Malta in mid-July, with the return leg in at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv the following week.
"As far as travel is concerned, Malta will probably be an easier destination than one of the other teams we could have drawn."
Hibernians, who play at the 3,000-seat in Paola won the Maltese title for the first time in seven years last season.
The draw for the Europa League was also held in Nyon on Monday. Hapoel Beer Sheva will meet FC Thun of Switzerland in the second qualifying round, while Beitar Jerusalem face Ordabasy Shymkent or R Charleroi.
