Players, manager and parents reflected on a job well done at the Maccabi GB National Primary League end-of-season awards .
Laurence Thorne, the league chairman, congratulated all participants for playing their part in ensuring that long-term future of Jewish football in London is alive and kicking.
Presentations were made to Brian Yershon, for his services to Jewish football, and former treasurer Geoffrey Levene, who are retiring as founder members of the league set up in 1988. The pair will be made Honorary Vice-Presidents of the league at next week's AGM.
Terry Whiting won Referee of the Year.
Thorne said: "On the whole, the season went particularly well and the introduction of our new small-sided 7-a-side league was a huge success for the Under 8, Under 9 and Under 10 age groups.
"Next season the consensus of opinion is to continue with the same small-sided age groups but to integrate this season's Under 10s and keep them at 7-a-side for next seasons Under 11 competition."
The Primary League season will close after the Outdoor five-a-side event on Sunday.
