Lipsky reaches Mixed Double quarters at Wimbledon

Scott Lipsky and Alla Kudryavtseva continued their merciless march towards the latter stages of the Mixed Doubles competition at Wimbledon after knocking out the fifth seeds.

Lipsky of America and Kudryavtseva of Russia surprised Nenad Zimonjic and Yung-Jan Chan 6-3, 7-6 in a match that lasted just over an hour.

They await the winners of today's third-round clash between Leander Paes and Martina Hingis against Henri Kontinen and England's Heather Watson.

Lipsky, 34, and Kudryavtseva have enjoyed a strong run to date, beating the 12th seeds in round two
