London Lions maintained their Herts Senior County League Premier Division title hopes with two wins over the Bank Holiday.
Two goals from top-scorer Adam Stolerman plus one apiece from new signing Steve Summers and Danny Cole eased them past Hertford Heath 4-1.
Lee Cash scored the winner as they edged past Cuffley. Lions manager Tony Gold said: "This performance shows how far these lads have come.
"Up against a tough physical side they dug deep and produced arguably their best performance to date in terms of fight, determination and a will to win.
"However, our real test starts next week when we play Park Street, Met Police and Wormley within five days. If we turn up - anything is possible."
