Under Mark Berman, manager Emeritus of the Men’s National Fastpitch Team and Chairman of Selectors, Great Britain has improved its world ranking to eight and become the top-ranked nation in Europe.

The team reached the playoffs at the 2009 ISF World Championships in Saskatoon, Canada last month, beating perennial power Japan on the way.

Berman has also been appointed to European Softball Federation Legal Commission and named Recording Secretary and Advocate of the International Softball Federation Legislative Commission. He participated in redrafting the ISF Constitution and will be a delegate at the ISF Biennial Congress in Caracas in October to vote on and help implement the new constitution.
