Ian Selwyn, manager of Leeds Maccabi, hopes his players can learn from the disappointment of last season as they go into their new campaign.
"Last year was a bit of a disappointment for us because it was my first year and we were still finding out which players were up to playing in non-Jewish football," he said.
"It's a very physical league and it's really difficult for some of the lads who are too young to compete at that level because they've yet to develop the strength.
"Hopefully we've learned our lessons from last year and we're definitely a more united squad having done a lot of work over the summer.
"We're looking forward to the new season and hopefully we can enjoy some success."
