Ric Blank expressed delight after confirming that Dan Kristall has joined the Oakwood management team for the coming season.
Kristall steered Leeds Maccabi to the MJSL treble this year and is now setting his sights on winning silverware in the MGBSFL in London.
Blank said: “Dan has been manager of Leeds Maccabi for the past couple of years and has done an unbelievable job up there.
"I've been speaking to him throughout this season and know he's the man to help take Oakwood forward.
"I know he can't wait to get involved and is already devoting his time to recruiting players for the club. He's going to be a tremendous addition."
The appointment follows Blank and Alex Schock’s decision to “take a step back” due to family commitments, while senior players Daniel Geey and Josh Bentley look set to hang up their boots. “Both of us are having kids in the near future and we’re not getting any younger,” said Blank.
"This is more than likely our final season and we couldn't be happier to have someone like Dan on hand for the transition.
"We'll be fully committed this year though our roles may change as the season goes on.
"Oakwood has been the most unbelievable thing to happen to me in so many ways. But nothing lasts forever. And with Dan running the firsts and Jason doing such a good job with the seconds, I couldn't be happier with the direction we're headed. Now to go out with a bang."
