Robert Kraft was toasting another Superbowl success after the New England Patriots edged home 28-24 against Seattle Seahawks.
Having won the prestigious Lombardi trophy for the fourth time, Patriots owner Mr Kraft described the victory as being “as sweet as the first”.
Kraft said: “I thought the first trophy was pretty special because it happened at a unique time in our country when it meant a lot.
“I never thought another trophy could feel as special, but this one absolutely does. And every true Patriot fan understands it.”
“I love our team. I’m proud of our guys and we are going to carry on and continue to do well.”
Wide receiver Julian Adelman, who has a Jewish father, capped a fine performance with a three-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Tom Brady.
