NOMINATIONS

HERTSWOOD VALE

Alex Trup (centre-back) – in the absence of captain James Neidle at the back today, Alex stepped up into the spine of our defence and put in a solid performance with countless headers and interceptions throughout, as he did for so many games last season

Dan Reuben (left-back) – the fans have waited for Reuben’s first competitive start for the Vale, and they were rewarded with an outstanding performance from the big man today. He slotted into the defence with aplomb and created countless opportunities on the left side today, with his classic mazy runs causing the SPEC right-back all kinds of problems. Somehow left the pitch without a goal or an assist that his performance deserved, but it wasn’t required in the end. Plenty more to see from this lad

James Millet (centre-mid) – it’s really difficult to keep our little magician out of the headlines this season. James has picked up exactly where he left off last season with eight goals in his first four games, but his performances are more than just his goal stats. James is a true leader on the pitch, linking up the team with his brilliance both on and off the ball. Grabbed a win in his first game as captain, stepping up when regular captain James Neidle wasn’t available

Harry Graham (striker) – Grabbed his first goal of the season, and his first for Vale since last November with a well-taken goal on the stroke of half-time. A brilliant performance off the bench, and caused their defence all kinds of problems, holding up play throughout to link up the rest of the team

Adam Morrow (centre-mid) - Adam has started his first full season with Vale with a bang. Was solid alongside Charlie in midfield, spraying passes across the pitch with calmness and composure

Adam Zaidman (GK) - has definitely had busier mornings but his concentration in the big moments is what makes him the best keeper in our division. With the score at 2-1 early in the second half, Zaidman pulled off a diving save to stop a Zack Neiman free-kick from sneaking into the far corner. Different class again!

------------------

BROOK FARM ROVERS

Aaron Benjamin (left-back/left-mid) - worked tirelessly up and down the left side as left back and then left winger. Constantly won his individual battles and drove the team forward

------------------

TEMPLE FORTUNE

Grant Bates (centre-back) – yet another magnificent performance from Batesy. He’s really come into his own in the past few weeks and this was another 10/10 performance. He showed strength and confidence in his defensive work and was incredibly composed in possession too. I can’t speak highly enough of him at the moment, he’s proving to be one of our most important assets

------------------

NORTH LONDON GALAXY

Sammy Huberman (midfielder) - brace in his first start of the season. Was a handful throughout

Josh Burchhardt (right-back) - got his goal and was composed all game. He really is cementing his place in the team and Is making arriving at the back stick his trademark

Zac Rose (centre-half) - did a shift in CM today before slotting back into his usual CB position. Same result, elite performance - brace to match

Luke Lewis (striker) - strong performance up front. Added a brace to his goal tally for the season - both being long range finesses and was giving the CBs a nightmare all game
