Left-back Jacobson, a former Wales U21 player, will enter a fifth and sixth season as a Wanderers player after extending his contract for two years, having become a virtual ever-present in the side and making close to 200 appearances so far.
Jacobson was one of the top performers in a League 2 campaign that ended with automatic promotion, chipping in with a number of assists and important goals.
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “JJ is such important player for us on and off the pitch and I’m delighted that that, as a player who helped us win promotion, he has pledged their future to the club.
“I’ve said many times that for me, JJ is one of the best – if not the best – left-back in the lower leagues and we know exactly what we get with him. He’s an excellent defender, he gives us a fantastic weapon going forward with his deliveries into the box, and he’s another one whose knowledge and experience of higher levels will help us adapt quickly to League 1.”
