I've been inundated with enquiries from the national press who picked up on my Holy Mount Zion story. My phone literally has not stopped ringing as the story gathered pace within the media - and changing rooms.
After speaking to BBC World Service, the Sunday Times called about a video interview on a story the Mirror has headlined; "Jew are ya?"
The Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Metro, Daily Mirror and Daily Mail website went Maccabi mad.
I'd been investigating the story for several months and it will be discussed at the next league meeting on February 28. Sadly, it appears that some papers have picked up the wrong end of the stick. Several claim that HMZ were pulled up for fielding non-Jewish players. As I said last week, this has yet to be confirmed.
HMZ's crime was playing unregistered players - an important technicality at this stage - something that applies to every league. You could say it's a testament to how well run the league is that so many people want to play in it. The bottom line is that it remains a very important league for what is a relatively small community.

The tournament returns following a two-year absence. Holders Faithfold C have been drawn in Group A alongside Heath Banta, Real Life and dark horses North London Raiders C. The other group features Catford & Bromley Maccabi, Temple Fortune B, UJIA and Zig Zag. The final is scheduled for April 17.
There was an amusing exchange following the league match between Zig Zag and Norstar B last weekend. Having run out 4-1 winners, Jonny Bunt, the Norstar manager, told me how Zig Zag had brought on a substitute keeper with one eye on Sunday's cup clash against UJIA.
Bunt said: "Zeds boss Neal Cohen employed squad rotation including for his keeper. You rarely see a team substitute one fit goalie for another in Division Three, let alone anywhere else."
● Dany Kon gets my vote for celebration of the week. The four-goal Los Blancos striker was inspired by our headline 'King Kon'. After scoring his second, he ran over to the corner flag and with his royally ordained privilege, knighted a kneeling Sami Birnbaum with the flag.
