Israel finished 11th at the European Division One T20 Tournament in the Channel Islands.
Having lost their five group matches, Herschel Gutman's men were beaten in the 9th-12 playoff, going down by 86 runs against Gibraltar – a low-scoring affair in which Gutman took 3-15.
However, Gutman led by example in the final encounter as Israel beat Croatia by 86 runs Les Quennevais.
Israel saved the best for last, reaching 172-7 with Gutman posting 70.
In reply, Croatia could only muster 86 all out in response, Eliezer Samson returning the impressive figures of 4-11.
Reflecting on the competition, Gutman said: "We played poorly. We got a few things wrong and were always chasing games.
"We took time to adjust to the pitches which had no pace. Next time we'll have to prepare properly.
"Our final position was disappointing as I felt that we were better than Germany, France and Belgium. We just didn’t take our chances."
