London Maccabi Vale continued their strong start to the season after recording a five-wicket victory over Finchley.
LMV restricted their hosts to 190 off their 40 overs thanks to a disciplined performance from a string of youthful bowlers.
Jonti Aremband struck twice early on with a pair of inswinging yorkers. His efforts were backed up by Rayno Greenwall-Cohen, on just his second senior appearance, who took the key wicket of Finchley's star batsman in an impressive seven-over spell.
In response, there were contributions throughout the innings as LMV paced the chase to perfection. Craig Waterman struck 22 and Alex Haffner 26 to provide the foundation for the Lederman brothers, Ben and Neil, to cut loose.
BenLederman fell for a hard-hitting 42 with more than 50 runs still required, but Neil Lederman and Steven Allweis played calmly and without risk to finish on 47 not out and 21 not out respectively to see the team home.
LMV under-13’s registered their third victory of the Middlesex Cricket Association East area season after beating Old Elizabethans by 33 runs. LMV posted 116-7 before restricting OE to 83-6 in Division Three.
