Stuart Delmonte claims standards have slipped at AFC Flixton.

The MAL table-toppers were held to a 1-1 draw against Lawds in the latest laboured showing.

And with Manchester Maccabi 1st capitalising to close the gap at the top of the Accounts Premier League, Delmonte says his players need to buck up their ideas.

He said: "Too many players are not performing and it’s a mental thing.

"They think they can just turn up and roll teams over.

"You have to earn wins. No side is going to hand over the three points to you.

"We have let Manchester Maccabi in now. We have to play them twice and they have a game in hand.

"They can come up on the rails now and we only have ourselves to blame for that."

An own goal looked to have been enough for Flixton here before Lawds seized on a defensive mistake to level late on.

Delmonte added: "As a team you need 11 players performing.

"But if one or two drop of their game then you can't afford for others to follow. That's our problem at the moment."
