AFC Flixton continued where they left off by lifting the Kings Cup to launch their season in style.

A second-half super-show saw Lawds put the sword as Flixton ran out 5-1 winners.

Callum Neil, Rafi Leeker, Mike Sacks, Richard Walker and Michael Warwick were all on the scoresheet in a game where they trailed at the break.

Joint manager Stuart Delmonte said: “It’s a great way to start the new season. We changed our formation at half-time and they couldn’t cope with us.

"The players showed they are hungry to go again. We have lost some key players but we will be challenging again. I have no doubt that."
