Faithfold cling to top spot in MSFL

Faithfold A came from 3-1 down to remain joint top of the Premier Division after beating basement battlers Glenthorne United A 5-3. Paul Lenchner (2), Daryl Phillips, James Taylor and Alex Taylor were the scorers for Faithfold.

Strikes from Nick Astaire, David Dinkin and Jonathan Green helped London Maccabi Lions B’s beat Hendon United B 3-1.

Redbridge Jewish Care A took four points from a double-header against South Manx. Lewis Walker (2), Steve Summers and Sam McCarthy earned them a 4-2 win in the opener. Mitch Lassman and Sam Van Gelder were on target in match two. North London Raiders A went top of Division One after claiming a pair of wins over Brixton Old Boys. Jacob Gold was the matchwinner in the first game. This was followed by an 11-1 win with goals from Jonny Blain (3), Ben Sheldon (2), Igal Yahya (2), David Rhodes, Joe Tankel and Gold (2).

Alex Bowman, Bruno Frankel, Danny Cohen and Ryan Sher were on target as North West Neasden B beat Red Sea.

Brady Maccabi played out two draw with Montana Boca United A. After a goalless first match, Montana’s Gary Cohen scored twice in the follow-up, including a late equaliser.

Redbridge Jewish Care B and Camden Park shared a win apiece as both matches finished 2-1. Daniel Gordon (2) earned RJC a win in part one but two from Michael Goldberg helped Camden exact revenge.

Division Two leaders North London Raiders B avenged an early season defeat by Rapid Banta with a 5-0 victory courtesy of goals from Nicky Woolf, Stuart Haring and David Rudnick.

A Tony Gold doubled helped Lions C beat FC Team B.

Jon Fisher and Rob Benson helped Temple Fortune return to winning ways with a 2-1 win over HMZ. Dave Marcus and Dan Stock earned improving Faithfold B a valuable point at Chigwell. Mark Conway and Jon Swead replied.

Division Three table-toppers Montana Boca United B were held 2-2 by Hendon United C. Mark Simons and Mark Wayne netted for Montana. Adam Hersh and Raphael Noe replied.

Josh Lewis, Paul Rubenstein and Ian Baron helped L’Equipe overcome Zig Zag.

Alex Aviram and Jamie Golding earned Woodford Wanderers a 2-0 victory against Faithfold C.

Ashley Stanton, David Blackman, Scott Shear and Daniel Jackson helped Glenthorne B consign UJIA to their first defeat with a 4-2 win in Division Four.

Team JLGB went top of the table after beating Pinner JFC 4-1 twice. Neil Lux (2), Ian Stone and Steve Howard did the damage in match one. Barry Green, Matt Rhodes, Ian Levy and Justin Freedman found the net in part two.

Former leaders UJS Norstar B were beaten for the first time after going down 3-0 against title rivals Redbridge Jewish Care C. Jake Sanders (2) and David Castle helped the Essex team home.

Athletic Bilbaum climbed to sixth after beating Blizzard Storm twice. They edged the first one 4-3 with goals from Edward Green (2), Jacob Brunner and Simon Finkelstein. Green hit the only goal in match two.

Dan Markeson (2) and Charlie Bernstein earned Real Life a 3-2 win over Hendon D. Jewventus moved on to 10 points for the second after claiming a couple of narrow wins over HMH. Richard Fogelman, Gabriel John, Adam Diamant and Louis Taylor found the net in the 4-3 win. Jewventus won the follow-up 2-1.
