Israel will host the 2016 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Holon near Tel Aviv.
The European Union of Gymnastics announced that it preferred Israel's bid over Bulgaria's for the June 2016 event.
Speaking at this year's event in Baku, Azerbaijan, Israel Gymnastics Association Chairman Ophir Pines-Paz said: "Hosting the event and the performances of our competitors this year are a fantastic achievement."
In Baku, the Israeli team of Yuval Filo, Alona Koshevatsky, Ekaterina Levina, Karina Lykhvar, Ida Mayrin and Lihi Shochatovitch won the bronze medal in the all-around event, Israel's first-ever medal in the European championships. They also finished fourth in the "balls and ribbons" event.
Neta Rivkin was fourth in the all-round individual competition and Linoy Ashram won three bronze medals in junior events.
