CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP ROUND ONE
OAKWOOD B 0 SHACHARIT DONETSK 5

ADAM ELLIS inspired third division new boys Shacharit to one of the shocks of the round as they destroyed second division Oakwood B.

It was a simply sensational performance from the Team Maccabi GB starlet on a day when everything he touched turned to goals.

Delighted Shacharit manager Elliot Nussbaum told JC Sport: "It was an outstanding performance from the first whistle, with outstanding work both on and off the ball, one move was so good with the lobbed finish from Adam hitting the bar - every midfield player involved with one touch football through the middle.

"Today was the benchmark from where we grow as a team and get better."

Oaks boss Jason Stein told JC Sport: "This was a chastening experience on my first visit to the Stadio West Hendon and if Alex Salmond thinks he's had a bad week, I'd implore him to speak to me. This was an abomonation from start to finish and the players were left in doubt just how I felt about their performance.

"To their credit, they held their hands up and took accountability for what Malcom Tucker would call a 'total (beeping) omnishambles. It isn't good enough and I expect far better from an Oakwood team. Jacob Nevitt equipped himself well on his full debut up front after a move from Liverpool Haroldeans. But apart from that there were precious little positives.

"In many ways I'm glad we're off next week as some of the lads will need the full 10 days of repenting from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur for that performance. And as we approach Yom Kippur I expect them to be immersed in a hungry state of remorse.

"Of course the greatest shame is I had my eye on a money-spinning second round tie against a Hendon or a Raiders. That lucozade bottler carrier won't buy itself and I've had my eye on it for a while.

"We're back in two weeks for a PMT match against London Lions Masters and that is going to be a proper challenge, but one I'm relishing."
