MANCHESTER ACCOUNTANTS LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
AFC FLIXTON 5 PWC 1
Leor Sidle led the way as Accounts Premier League table-toppers AFC Flixton returned to winning ways with a 5-1 thumping of PWC.
Flixton slumped to a shock loss against Mace in the league last time out. But there was never a chance of that happening again here.
Sidle bagged a brace while Ricky Walker, Adam Gilman and Adam Rosenberg were also on target.
AFC Flixton had a second-half blitz to thank as they extended their lead at the summit with Maccabi Manchester 1st crashing.
Flixton joint-manager Stuart Delmonte said: "This was the response we wanted and expected for the boys.
"It was a tough game and we had to grind it out on a difficult pitch for 50 minutes. But once we scored our second goal it was one-way traffic and they barely got out of their half.
"Leor deserves a special mention while Adam Gilman and Mark Bell were the stand-out performers in what could have been a difficult afternoon.
"So to win, and then hear that Maccabi Manchester 1st had lost, made my day."
