There were some eye-catching performances in the JC Cyril Anekstein Cup and MSFL. Here is my pick of the bunch.
1. JAKE DOFFMAN (Brixton Old Boys) – capped a magnificent performance with two stunning saves in the penalty shootout
2. ALON BLITZ (Hendon United Sports Club B) – ensured heads stayed calm as the team came under pressure against Lions B, marshalled the troops brilliantly to keep a clean sheet
3. BENJY AARONS RICHARDSON (Athletic Bilbaum) – Mark Pasha wanted to name all 11 Baums in my top team. BAR is one of two
4. LEE HYAMS (Chigwell Athletic) – “Did exactly what his manager asked of him against Craig Sandford. Never gave him a sniff, won every header, challenge and bossed him from start to finish. A faultless display”. MOM
5. BEN GRABINER (AC Mill Hill) – “a faultless display at centre half” against the Premier Division leaders
6. NICK RUSSELL (UJIA) – “never stopped running and bossed the midfield”
7. JOSH BENTLEY (Oakwood A) – “MOTM by a distance. Colossus in the middle of the park. Ric Blank can't understand why Hendon let him go - but he's delighted they did!”
8. GIDEON GOLD (Shirley Park) – a fab four-goal salvo from midfield
9. BEN JOSEPH (Brady Maccabi A) – “a great all-round performance” against Norstar
10. JAMES COOPER (FC Team C) – one of the stars of the show in the showdown against Faithfold C. Scored two excellent goals
11. BEN BELL (Athletic Bilbaum) – showed great composure to score a crucial goal in the shock win over Harmen
