Danny Caro's Team of the Week: March 13

articlemain

Here is my Team of the Week from Matchday 26 of the MGBSFL.

1. RUSSELL CORIN (Hendon A) - SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

2. CHARLES BRAUNSTEIN (NL Raiders C) - "60 minutes at the back and 60 in the middle - Braunstein was as solid as he's been all season and his fitness and electric pace were just what raiders needed towards the end. Capped with two fine goals as well"

3. JOSH LEWIS (L’Equipe) - "had a blinding game against Boca Jewniors, flying up and down the left flank – a brick wall at one end and creating chance after chance at the other. His performance was topped off with a well-deserved goal, now meaning that he has scored in every one of L’Equipe’s nine seasons. The only outfield player in history to always have a bottle of water with him throughout every game to prevent any potential (and likely) passing out, he ran himself so hard into the ground that on this occasion, he even had two bottles of water close at hand. A L’Equipe legend through and through"

4. ADAM HAKIMI (Redbridge JC A) - "a superb match saving tackle with the scores at 2-2 and then the winner in the dying minutes"

5. GIDEON MOSS (FC Team B) - "controlled the game against Scrabble, won everything and led"

6. SAM MOSS (Redbridge JC B) - "had a tough week of Accountancy exams and finished the week of in style with a breathtaking performance. Was involved in all RJC B good passing moves and put on the second goal on a plate for inform David Fialka"

7. RICHARD ADAMS (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) - "controlled the game" against Scrabble. "Won everything and led the team superbly. The "best performance" Jeff Gotch has seen from him in 20 years

8. MATT STOCK (NL Raiders A) - "first game since last year’s Anekstein cup final though you wouldn’t have known it. Very classy performance, scored one and had a hand in nearly everything good from an attacking sense"

9. TOM ALEXANDER (Woodford Wanderers) - "put in an absolute shift up front and capped his performance off with a brilliant goal" against Brady

10. ZACK NEIMAN (SPEC FC) - "scored four goals and was a constant menace to the Sosobad defence from minute one"

11. MAX KYTE (ML Lions A) - "was in superb form against Oakwood, and put in a massive shift. He was involved in everything, and really did lead the line. A colossus up top"

MANAGER: Jeff Gotch (Catford & Bromley Maccabi)
