Danny Caro's Team of the Week: January 29

Here is my master-class from players who lit up league and cup competitions on Matchday 19 of the season.

articlemain

1. DEAN CAPLIN (Oakwood A) - "a superb display and by far his best in an Oaks shirt"

2. ROB BLACKMAN (Scrabble FC) - "This was without doubt Rob's best ever game in a Scrabble shirt. Important tackles and brilliant clearances the whole game"

3. JAKE MARKS (Temple Fortune) - "different class today and controlled the game from fortunes perspective both from screening the defence and starting attacks. Read the game beautifully"

4. BRAD DRYER (Brady Maccabi) - "commanding performance at centre back and very assuring on the ball"

5. ALEX LEE (Oakwood A) - a rock at the back

6. JOSH SHAFFER (RC UK FC) - "was anywhere Rob Hershkorn was," what more can I say? Completely nullified the threat of "one of technically the best players in Jewish football". "Someone might want to drop Hershkorn a line during the week to make sure he's not still in Shaffer's pocket"

7. ADAM JOSELYN (NL Raiders A) - "Man-of-the-match performance. Held the midfield together, retained the ball well on a difficult pitch and was the unlikely match-winner with an excellent strike from outside the area which caught the goalkeeper off guard"

8. MIKE STRATTON (South Manchester) - a huge influence in the win over Redbridge in Essex. His stunning 25-yarder inspired a last-gasp equaliser. Missed a penalty in the shoot-out but we won't mention that!

9. SAUL SHAPIRO (South Manchester) - bagged a brace on the big stage and never stopped running or believing

10. ZACH COHEN (Mill Hill Dons) - "His four goals and assist emphasises how superb his performance was today. He was causing the Catford defence problems all 90 minutes and absolutely dominated the aerial battle with 3 of his 4 goals being headers"

11. ANDY SMITH (L’Equipe) - in a league of his own with a fab four-goal salvo against Boca

STAR MAN: Josh Shaffer (RC UK FC)

MANAGERS: Dan Kristall & Ric Blank (Oakwood A)

REFEREE: Brandon Pieters (Redbridge Jewish Care A vs South Manchester Sports Club 1st)
