Danny Caro's Team of the Week - Feb 13

articlemain

Jake Doffman (Brixton Old Boys) – the young keeper added to his growing reputation with an outstanding display against table-topping Temple Fortune A

Yosh Radomsky (Los Blancos) - Yosh has come on leaps and bounds since joining the club as a right winger, and has taken his transformation to full back like a duck to water. A real speed merchant, the Pinner left wing had no joy whatsoever in getting past him, whilst he overlapped with much success in providing support to Sami Birnbaum further up the pitch. Los Blancos' best goal of the match was purely of his creation as he received the ball just inside the Pinner half, seemingly with nothing on. Out of nowhere, he took an almighty deliberate whack of the ball with the outside of his right boot as he sent a sumptuous 45 yard through ball across pitch, over the Pinner defence and right into the path of Adam Hersh. Such was the quality of the ball, Hersh didnt have to break stride and was immediately one on one with the goalie, and after one touch to bring the ball under control, finished with aplomb into the far corner.

Matt Rhodes (Team JLGB) – described as “immense” in the win over Real Life

Josh Hambling (Glenthorne United B) – a rock at the heart of defence which did well to hold firm against a free-scoring Raiders C team

Rik Sherman (NL Raiders B) – “produced a faultless display” in the Morrison tie against Oakwood

Jamie Cooper (Redbridge Jewish Care B) – the midfield powerhouse led by example with an exemplary display in the derby against Chigwell

Adam Bier (Athletic Bilbaum) - a great performance, protecting the back four exceptionally and putting in several last ditch challenges and headers

Yonni Bord (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) – ran leaders Glenthorne A a merry dance with some brilliant trickery

Simon Buchler (FC Team B) – while all eyes were on Mitch Young and Richard Salmon, Buchler pulled the strings with an eye-catching display

Lewis Walker (Redbridge Jewish Care A) – “worked incredibly hard, putting pressure on the Oakhill backline for 90 minutes”. Manager Sam McCarthy told JC Sport: “It was great to see him get his just rewards with an hat-trick

Alex Hershman (Southgate Harmen B) – scored a cracker and kept the Lions C defence on their toes for 90 minutes
