Temple Fortune A earned the result of the day which is reflected in the final Select XI of 2013.
1. Jake DOFFMAN (Brixton Old Boys) – earned rave reviews from Lions interim manager Andy Landesberg and kitman Dave Snellman. If it’s good enough for them …
2. Nathan HARROD (Brady Maccabi B) – “great vision and passing on display throughout. Fantastic assist for Mogilner’s first goal and played big part in Kasler’s second too”
3. BEN ANNIS (Los Blancos) – “was all over the park in a very powerful performance, driving Blancos on as they beat leaders Neasden B for the second week running
4. Josh TIANO (Temple Fortune A) – a tower of strength at the heart of the Fortune defence, and a clean sheet to boot against the Division One joint-leaders who were simply blown away
5. Joel BERG (Redbridge Jewish Care A) – excelled alongside Adam Hakimi against the Masters, did everything right despite the nasty conditions
6. NICKY PLOTNEK (Shirley Park) – left the JC MSFL in style with a virtuoso performance to leave his team top of Division One following a hard fought win over Harmen
7. Gabriel JOHN (Jewventus) – “a mis-hit penalty, a shanked cross that lobbed the keeper and a deflected 25-yarder, according to one source, but a hat-trick’s a hat-trick
8. Dovid KORMAN (Hendon Utd SC A) – “a real quality attacking midfield performance against FC Team, including a coolly twice taken winning penalty
9. Daniel ORGEL (Temple Fortune A) – played like a man possessed to show his east London brethren just who was top dog on Sunday. Showed great instinct to put away two top-notch goals
10. Ben ZLOOF (AC Mill Hill) – “as a cut above the rest scoring his 4th consecutive hatrick with the pick of the bunch being his first, where from out wide on the right he managed to hook and loop the ball over the keeper into the corner of the net”
11. Ed GREEN (Athletic Bilbaum) – “Muscled them off everything, won almost every header and gave them no time on the ball which they yearned for so badly. Relentless for the whole 90, even when we were down to 10”
MANAGER: Lee Fegan (Temple Fortune A)
