The MGBSFL has yet to see the best of FC Team B hot-shot ANDY SHEENA who has had his fair share of injuries, but we were treated to a moment of pure genius in the match against London Rovers.
His boss, Mitch Young, described Sheen'a strike as the "one of the best goals he'd seen in 10 years of Sunday football" as
ball came out form a corner 35 yards out, Sheena flicked the ball over the on-rushing defender, trapped the ball and with no back-lift powered the ball into the top corner.
BEST OF THE REST
- JONATHAN PETERS (Scrabble FC) - a breathtaking shot from distance against Boca
- SAMMY KINGSTON (ML Lions B) - scored a worldie against Bilbaum - a 35-yard screamer in to the top right-hand corner of the goal. The left-back dribbled the ball from the half-way line and drilled it straight into the top right hand corner. Was truly unbelievable
- DEAN ROSENTHAL (ML Lions B) - a teamwork goal, where Ed Brafman played it up to Josh Bloom on the edge of the box who held the ball up fantastically. He then played it out wide to the overlapping Jake Hyman. Jake got to the byline and drilled a ball on the floor into the six-yard box where Dean Rosenthal tucked it away
- SAM REEVES (Faithfold B) - GOAL 2 - unstoppable free-kick into the top corner against NLR B
