Danny Caro's Goal of the Week: November 23

articlemain

"An amazing goal finishing off a scrappy game on a freeezing wet morning" was how AC Whetstone joint-manager Anthony Cohen described PHILIPPE AURET effort that was recognised as JC Goal of the Week by our panel of judges.

On a weekend of stunning individual strikes, it was a real team effort as far as the Whetstone wonder kids were concerned. Here's how Cohen saw it.

"After stopping an Oakwood B attack, Dan Weisselberg calmly passed out to the right back Tomer Tricot with Oakwood strikers right in his face. He played an inside ball to Alex Woffenden who passed it back to him taking the move to the halfway line. His passed it first time back inside again to the left winger, Sam Leader, who had shuffled across to the middle. Sam put a ball inside to put Ethan Davies (right wing) away and chasing to the byeline where he put a cross in just behind the striker. Auret rose and stretched his head back and with an incredible header was able to steer the ball firmly past the keeper."
