Ma'ayan Davidovich won the bronze medal in the women's World Windsurfing Championships in Santander.
This was the second consecutive year in which the 26-year-old Israeli finished third at the event, although she was not entirely thrilled by the achievement.
"It's always great to be on the podium but I must admit I was disappointed this time," she said. "I started the final race in second position and was hoping for more. But I only finished seventh and that cost me the silver medal."
Davidovich is now targeting an Olympic medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, but her destiny lies in the hands of the IOC as Israel can only field one competitor. It remains unclear whether three times world champion Lee Korzits will come out of retirement to challenge for that berth.
