A hat-trick from Alex Jacobs earned a depleted Brady Maccabi Under 15 team to a 6-4 win over Watford Friendly League Yellow Division table-toppers London Colney Colts.

With five players on a school skiing trip, Brady put out a threadbare squad but played what manager Barry Warren described as their “best football since their formation 18 months ago”.

Jacobs opened the scoring on 10 minutes and added goals two and four

Leading 4-2 at half time, Brady did pushed on in the second half with James Michelson (2) and a first-ever goal from Bradley Lander.

A delighted Warren said: “As the manager, it’s left me with the headache of selecting next week’s team, and on this performance it will be very hard to leave anyone out from this thrilling victory.”
