Tamir Cohen has been tipped to take the Premier League by storm after fighting his way back to full fitness.

The Bolton star has been in impressive form during pre-season and has warmed up for Saturday's opener against Fulham by scoring goals for fun.

Cohen was forced to undergo a mi nor operation at the start of the summer after being forced the end of the season with a niggling injury.

But the 26-year-old has already got manager Owen Coyle excited with the Bolton boss expecting great things from the Israel international.

Speaking exclusively to the JC, Coyle revealed the depth of his admiration for Cohen following the player's return to the squad.

"Tamir had an operation over the summer and worked hard to make sure he came back pre- season in good shape," he said. "I really think that shows the type of player he is and just how determined he is to succeed at this level.

"He continues to work hard in training and I am really pleased with his determination to be the best that he can be."

Daniel De Ridder looks set to finally end his nightmare spell with Wigan Athletic by joining the Dutch giants Ajax.

The 26-year-old, who spent part of last season on loan at Hapoel Tel Aviv, is desperate to kick star his career after falling out of favour at the DW Stadium.

Born to an Israeli mother and a Dutch father, De Ridder went on to represent the Netherlands Under-21 side before making the move to the Premier League with Birmingham in 2007.

Wigan are prepared to cut their losses with Ajax manager Martin Jol hoping to wrap up a deal for the playmaker before the end of the month.
