Bolle fires winner on Wingate debut

Adam Bolle made a dream debut for Wingate & Finchley - hitting the winner in the 1-0 Boxing Day derby win over Hendon.

Wingate & Finchley's Director of Football David Norman had been tracking Bolle's progress for 18 months, and Bolle's impressive displays have led to Norman putting in a 7-days-notice of approach for the young centre-forward after scoring 23 goals in 26 games so far this season for Hoddeston FC in the Spartan Midlands Premier Division.

Norman believes Bolle has the qualities to make the grade. He said: "Adam has proven that he has the ability to score goals at the level he was playing at, and although there is a significant difference in the levels between the Spartan Midlands Premier and Ryman Premier, I believe he has the raw ability to make the step up."

"Adam is big, strong and hard-working and certainly knows where the goal is. He has a great attitude which is rare in young players today.

"He has shown in the last two seasons that he has an eye for goal. We know it will be difficult for Adam making the transition, but given time, his quality will come through."

Bolle, who was top-scorer for London Lions last season and represented Team Maccabi GB at the 19th Maccabiah Games in Israel in July, made his debut for Wingate some 15 years after leading the Blues out as a seven-year-old Mascot when his father Jon was a first team regular.

Speaking about Bolle's performance against Hendon, Norman commented: "Not only was I very pleased with Adam's, goal but the work ethic and all-round play. He has added a new dimension to the side which will only improve us as a team."
