FA VASE SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND

LONDON LIONS 0 BIGGLESWADE UNITED 3

United were in control from the off, and tested Dan Lipman in the Lions goal before a trip inside the box gave the visitors a chance to take the lead early on. The Biggleswade striker made no mistake as Lipman was unable to repeat his penalty heroics from his last game.

United continued to press and Lions were grateful for a flag when the ball hit the net again and then the ball striking the bar minutes later from another attack, but it was brief respite as the visitors doubled their lead when despite Lipman’s initial save, the ball fell kindly for Biggleswade to make it 2-0 at the break.

Lions came close minutes later when Charlie Rubin thumped a shot against the foot of the post.

The home side tried to get a foothold in the game, and get into their Premier Division opponents, but Biggleswade were assured a win when they broke from a Lions corner to score a good team goal and make it 3-0.

Substitute Adam Arnold went close to a consolation but dragged with shot wide in the closing stages.

Lions will welcome the return to action looking to get some momentum into their league campaign this weekend, with cup distractions out of the way for now.

LIONS: Dan Lipman, Liron Mannie, Ollie Craig, Adam Lipman, Jamie Jackson, Charlie Rubin, Levi Levenfiche, Adam Bolle, Charlie Kasler, Adam Harvey, Austin Lipman. Subs: Jack Mattey, Adam Arnold, Tyler Smith
