LONDON FA SUNDAY CHALLENGE CUP ROUND ONE

HENDON UNITED SPORTS 11 NLO 1st 2

After beating HMH 3-0 in their MGBSFL opener, Hendon United were at their rampant best, with boss Jordan Sapler reflecting on a "thoroughly comprehensive victory during which we played some football that at times was the best I’ve ever seen in a Sunday League setting".

Bharier, who joined over the summer from Oakwood, and Spitzer ran NLO ragged with some top-notch finishing, with Moses Seitler, Josh Harris, Yehuda Korman and Simon Peterman adding the gloss.

"Josh's debut was everything that we wanted from him," Sapler told JC Sport. "Pace, power and finishing was all there today - three out of his four goals today were top-drawer. The first two were sublime finishes and great movement for his fourth.

Defender Peterman scored a great header to get Hendon started from a Zack Lewis corner, and it was all Hendon from there. Spitzer added a second from a Harris cutback and then Harris added the third before half-time, ably assisted by superb passes from Zac Garbacz and then Moses Seitler.

Hendon's midfield trio of Jonny Kay, Yehuda Korman and Rocky we’e playing some breathtaking football and at times NLO couldn’t get anywhere near Hendon.

Despite that, it still took a couple of top saves from Russ to keep NLO out. Hendon went in at half time cruising, and Bharier then added his hat-trick goal after neat work from Mordy Weiler.

Next up was Korman to win the ball in the middle and stride through to make it 7-0. Bharier’s fourth came from a wonderful teasing Jordan Mizrahi cross which he finished well really nicely before Spitzer got his second.

Seitler then scored Hendon's 10th from a Lewis assist and finally Spitzer finished the rout with his hat-trick after more good play.

Sapler said: "It was a great all-around performance, although it was a shame we switched off twice to allow the opposition two goals."
