AFC Flixton marched on as Chorlton FC were the latest side put to the sword in the Kings Challenge Cup.

Flixton eased into the semi-finals thanks to deadly doubles from James Rosenberg and and Ashley Reece.

Richard Walker and Stephen Peck also netted as the Division One side failed to halt the quadruple-chasing Flixton juggernaut.

Flixton will now face a last-four showdown with South Manchester Sports and joint-manager Stuart Delmonte said: :The result was never in doubt and we could have stepped up a gear at any time.

"We bossed the game against a side who threw everything they had at us. It could, and should, have been more but it was just important to progress."

A depleted Flixton eased home despite missing five regulars, with Leor Sidle and Mike Sacks among their notable absentees.

Co-boss Tony Rosenberg added: "There’s a big few weeks ahead. We want to finish the league season on a high and then it will come down to some important cup games.

"The squad is good enough to cope with the amount of crunch games we have coming up."
