Dudi Sela boosted his chances of playing at the 2012 London Olympics after reaching the final of the Challenger Tour Finals in Sao Paulo.
A series of strong performances from the Israeli have seen him climb 11 places to finish the season 83rd in the world rankings.
Israel's Olympic Committee will pick Sela for the London Games only if he reaches the top 50.
Having beaten Thomaz Bellucci (35) in the semi-finals, Sela was edged out by Germany's Cedrik Marcel Stebe (103) in the final.
Ahead of the event, Sela announced a change of coach, with Yoav Ben Zvi replacing Harel Levy.
