Vera's draw 2-2 against AC Camden in Cup

October 09, 2011 18:04

Conditions today were much more suitable for soccer in England with temperatures about 17 C and the ground softened by rain last night (thankfully this prevented some injuries). Vera's went into the lead with a goal by man of the match Ollie Jones, But AC Camden recovered well and scored an equaliser before half time. In the second half Camden raised their game and were proving the better team in the first 20 minutes and went ahead 2-1. They have two speedy wingers and tackled aggressively which put the Vera's off their stroke.
However, Ollie found the srtength to make a break against the flow of play and score a great goal which left Camden's goalie helpless. Nevertheless, there were lessons for Vera's to learn from this encounter and if they wish to progress to later stages of the cup, they will have to ensure that their talented players are in the right position for their best play.
