At last year’s Community Security Trust dinner, the Prime Minister announced an extra £11 million to fund security for our community. On Wednesday, Home Secretary Theresa May went even further , upping this year’s spending to £13 million. It is easy to take this for granted. But we should no more do that than we should take CST itself for granted. Every one of us has reason to be grateful for its existence, its expertise and its commitment. Its volunteers are present at almost every communal event. Its contacts with government lead directly to our security. And its sophisticated understanding of modern antisemitism provides an essential resource. We are all in its debt.
A debt of thanks
