King's Fund release statement saying they did not mean to suggest there was anything dishonest about Tory cancer fund plans

Let me translate:

King's Fund realise that the polls point to a Conservative government, and realise that it's not the most sensible strategy on the eve of an election for a group which wants to be a player under the next government to say that the Shadow Chancellor and Shadow Health Secretary are lying toerags who are taking the electorate for a bunch of idiots.

So we'll just leave it at the implication that they are economically illiterate instead.
