Last Saturday, hundreds of Jews and Arabs from the north and centre of Israel gathered near Kfar Kara'a on Highway 65 Saturday in a rally for peace. The only sign present at the demonstration read "Hand in hand – neighbours for peace".

Pity the rally was held during Shabbat, or I would have attended. Another one is planned for next Saturday.
It is disturbing that so many demonstrations around the world have provided a platform for virulent anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments, to say nothing of the violence that has accompanied some of them.
If Israeli Jews and Arabs can hold a peace rally here in Israel, why can’t participants with diverse backgrounds and views organise similar joint peace rallies elsewhere in the world?
