Despite our Indian summer September, there's now a definite chill in the air. Autumn is here and I've already started blending up some warming, winter soups. Not only are they a hug in a bowl, they're also a great way to get a hefty serving of healthy veggies. 

Try this trio of JC favourite recipes: 

As a winter warmer, Polish Jewish classic krupnik has a great pedigree. Judi Rose's healthy spin is full of flavour and light to eat but will keep you sustained for long winter walks:

English apples are just coming into season so this apple and lentil recipe from Denise Phillips a great one to whizz up for lunch. The lentils pack a protein punch so will keep you fuller longer. 

The cheery, orange colour makes Dr Michelle Braude's butternut and apple soup a sunny special for packed lunches and light suppers. Sprinkle with her spiced pumpkin seeds for healthy crunch.
