Two new books have been released to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the passing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Joseph Telushkin's Rebbe gives an account of the Rebbe from his humble beginnings in engineering through his years of building the Chabad movement internationally.

It offers a remarkable insight into the world of Chabad and its leader, concentrating on the core principles by which the Rebbe wielded considerable influence on the Jewish world.

My Rebbe is more of an in-depth analysis. A Chabad follower, Rabbi Steinsaltz offers a thought-provoking overview of Chasidism and the central role of a rebbe.

Much of the book is based on his personal encounters and philosophical examination of the Rebbe and the Chabad movement and attempts to explain the posthumous relationship between the worldwide movement and its revered leader.
