Rabbi /Minister

The Belfast Jewish Community established over 150 years ago is a small friendly welcoming community where everybody is made to feel comfortable regardless of their background or level of observance.
We seek applications from suitably qualified candidates to work alongside our Shul Council and wardens in the provision of religious and spiritual leadership to the Community and energetically devote himself to developing and maintaining the ethos of the Community.
Functions will include: Conducting services, including leyening, working alongside the Chevra Kadisha, providing pastoral care to members, encouraging and recruiting new members, ministering to Jewish University students in Northern lreland, being welcoming and offering hospitality to both members and visitors.
The successful candidate will represent the Community at non -communal events including meeting with other religious groups and organisations and act as religious spokesperson at media and cross community events when so required.
